Important Statement on COVID-19 and the 2020 TWBL Season
As of right now, the 2020 TWBL Season has not been suspended by the TWBL commissioners. Due to the uncertain nature of this pandemic, we are like many others in the world right now trying to adapt and change with new developments as they surface. With that said, the safety of our members is a top priority and we intend to provide appropriate communication when possible. Our vision for the league has always aimed at fostering community and as a community we will work to maintain the summer experience you have come to expect from our league.
Registration for the 2020 Season is officially open. If you are familiar with registration, it will look slightly different than in the past. As of now, TWBL will not be collecting entry fees for registration. Instead, we will collect entry fees for the teams that have registered once it is certain that we will host the 2020 season in its traditional fashion. Given this procedural change, we ask that team captains understand that their team will not be permitted to participate in league games until the entry fee has been collected if the season is to be played.
As of now, we have not officially set a date to start the 2020 season. This may mean that a late start is necessary. In this case, we will do our best to make up the games but there is no guarantee we will be able to make up every game that goes missed. Though we wish summer was longer, we have to deliver the same great product to every team and every player.
We pray for the health and safety of all our players and their families. As a staff, we encourage you to use this free time to go out in the backyard and work on pitches. Whether your target is a brick wall, lawn chair, or pro-style “K-zone,” go out there and work on those risers and drop balls!
Until next time,
